Garden Pests

What the squirrels leave behind.....

The lubbers are sure to eat......

I found all of our corn shucked on the stalk the other day. I could not figure out what may have eaten all the corn off the stalks. Twitter said that is was Raccoons or Opossums. I believed them until I caught the furry tailed rascals green handed this morning.

As far as the Lubbers.....I hat them. Nasty bugs.

Good Day!

That is one ugly bug. Gives me the creeps just looking at it.

I often thought squirrels were just rats with bushy tails. They alternate between being really cute, and really a pain in the butt. Sorry yours are munching their way through your garden.

Squirrels just LOVE corn (and sunflower seeds). Sorry about your garden.

Green Fairy is right - Rats With Bushy Tails.

They get into our hibiscus & tangerines here. We don't mind no flowers on the hibiscus if we eat them (they are quite sweet) - but hate to see the rats with bushy tails get them.

And they'll take one stinking bite from a tangerine & drop it - then go on to the next one. I could live with some losses to them if they'd eat the whole thing but they are just so wasteful.

I think we need more cats in the neighborhood because I think they outlawed poisoned peanuts.

Good luck getting some of your homegrown produce for yourself.
