Stools at ReStore.

My heart skipped a beat, when I saw these stools at Habitat Re-Store last week.

I have been looking for 2 vintage-ish type stools to go with the stainless steel kitchen table that I received for Christmas. There was a coffee shop near my old office that had vintage lab stools at the bar and I loved how the these stools looked against the shiny stainless steel counter.

I was so sad to read on the little red tag above the ladder.

SOLD.

I was there too late. They sold earlier that day. All of them. For $10 each.

Oh and this picture was made with my cell phone. My camera died.

Sorry about the camera AND the stools. Those are perfect, even with the chipping blue paint.

Thats just the worst when you JUST miss out. And then of course they become "The Stools That Got Away".

Eh, this is just more conclusive proof that all other ReStores are better than mine.

That is unfortunate. It sounds like you either have to shop there every day or never go there at all.

My ReStore may put up a good challenge for being worse than yours Christopher - but I don't want to go back to prove it.

Back to the topic at hand - do you live near a college or university of any sort? Our has a surplus sale every month or so with various academic furniture. Lab stools like that seem likely to turn up there.

I was so excited for your find--and then my heart sank! I'm so sorry these cool stools didn't get to go home with you. Hang in there...the search continues!

I'm so sorry about both the camera and the stools. I'm hoping you can revive the camera and that you find even better stools!

Our Habitat Re-Store is Hit or Miss. Overall I think it is a great resource, but it has to be shopped.

The camera was not able to be saved. After much research and debate, I bought the same camera just a newer model and it is much smaller with more bells and whistles. Not what I really, really wanted, but I just can't see spending too much money on wants these days.
