I am thankful for a house over my head...
(even if it has a huge hole in the middle bedroom floor)
A Wonderful and Healthy family....Helpful Friends....Food to eat...
Clothes to wear....A loving husband...A smart dog....
And..........
for all the 'net friends I have made through this little blog.....
I wish you all a Great Thanksgiving.
And ........ by the way...........
I like the cranberry sauce that is shaped like the can........
I know.......it does looks weird.....
and I tried to like the other....
I tried to change the family tradition....
I tried........
To be a Cranberry Sauce Snob.....
but I just really like what I call
Turkey Jelly the best
and the noise it makes when it releases from the can
makes me laugh a little.
What is your cranberry sauce of choice?
There is a whole series of food shaped like the can.

I make my own cranberry sauce to eat, but I think it is a Thanksgiving requirement to have it from the can. I love the shape and the sound it makes coming out, plus it has all those convenient lines to slice it into perfect discs! It's one of those perfectly happy foods :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Until I was about fourteen, I thought this was the only way you could eat cranberry sauce!
It's a tradition round here, too, although I try to serve a more snobbish version as well!
I love (and can't get enough of) the Cranberry-Cherry Relish we make every year, and posted the recipe today. It's crazy-tart and gets kind of pickled in a few days. I seriously can't live without it, and I'm sad when it's gone.
Happy Thanksgiving - I am thankful for friends near and far, too. Love, your Cranberry Snob Blog Friend
Depends on the mood....
I love the whole berry goo in the can (it has to be Ocean Spray), but I do make various homemade versions including a chutney version and a jalapeno version.
happy thanksgiving!!!!
I like the Ocean Spray stuff. No one else in the family likes it but me.
p.s. I am thankful I found your blog, Jenni, and have you as a blog friend! Happy Thanksgiving! (give Puppy a scratch for me)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hubby insists on cran from a can as well.
Enjoy reading your blog. Thanks for sharing with all of us readers :)
My Dad always insists on the canned version and of course, uppity me always resisted. But really, I don't care for cranberry sauce at all. What I prefer is me sauced on cranberry juice and vodka!
I'm a day late so I'll just wish you a happy Thanksgiving weekend.
I look forward to eating most any kind of cranberry sauce/relish/compote that might be concocted, but I confess that I also enjoy, and get really nostalgic about, the straight-from-the can variety, can lines and all!
