There will be a parade today with festivities focused around town square.
Quite fitting since there is a statue of this early French ally standing in the middle of town.

I guess if they can dye a river green for St. Patrick's Day, they can dye a fountain tidy bowl blue for Independence Day. Happy 4th to you too!

Jenni, it's funny that you mentioned Lafayette. The red-white-and-blue ribbons we used to decorate things was kind of blue-white-and-red; Josie said it looked a little French. Greg reminded her that we owed something to Lafayette on the 4th anyway.
