American Sweetheart is a pattern of Depression Glass made by MacBeth-Evans from 1930 to 1936.
I have a few pieces. They go well with pie.
And the fork that I found buried in the yard.
( One day I might find the old, school house light to use in the kitchen where the wires are hanging down.)

I absolutely adore antique dishes. Yours are gorgeous!
It's so delicate and interesting.
I have to keep fighting the urge to collect a set. I once gave in and now own 2 large dinner plates.
I need to go to eBay. White goes with everything and it will only get rarer as the delicate pieces break. Right???
Thanks for stopping by at Dillypoo Chatter! My hubby and I also own an oldie but goodie - a 1906 four square. We joke that we hope to finish it before we die, but the house seems to be winning.
My mother collects dishes and has a few American Sweetheart pieces (a set of dinner plates, I think). They are lovely, but she's yet to use them.

Love the dish. So dainty!
I just love old dishes! So beautiful. The pie looks delicious, too!
Thank you Melinda, B. Bliss, and Jennifer. The pie was yummy.
Dillypoo, glad you dropped by ThirteenEleven. I used the dishes for a baby shower once.
Jan, I actually have a good many of the plates. Not the dinner size however. I have a couple of depression glass patterns.
Love depression glass.
Glad we started junkin when
you were a youngster. Is the fork sterling?
MOM
gorgeous!
love it!! lol
Oh wow Jenni, those are beautiful! You found fork buried in the yard? What else is out there?
There used to be a two story barn on our property where my garden spot is. The barn burned down many years ago, but I find lots of metal and glass when I'm digging that had to have come from the barn.
