I've been out of town, visiting my Mom, Papa Joe, and my Grandmother.
One morning this week, when we left their house, and old "dog trot" style farm house that they restored 10 years ago, we saw something in the ditch. At first glance we thought it was one of the many barn kittens that had wondered off.
As we got closer, it sat down, wagged it's tale and gave us those sad puppy eyes. Mama couldn't stop her car fast enough for me to get out. It did not take but a second for this baby to run and jump into my hands and kiss me on the face. (Actually the lips, eugh!) If that doesn't say thank you for saving me, nothing does.
Yes, a itty bitty, baby puppy had been dumped in the ditch down from their house.
Currently they have 2 dogs, Tipper, and Boogie who are dumped dogs. Both are extremely loving and loyal pets. They also have Louise a mini dachshund.

Boogie was dumped as a full grown dog, and had been beaten up pretty bad. He now is a working dog and helps with the goats and cows around the farm. Tipper was a tiny palm size fuzzy baby, when she was dumped in the same ditch. Sorry no Tipper pics.
And now the new addition.....

Awww. he's so sweet! what breed(s) do you think he is?
OH MY GOSH JENNI!!! Thank heavens you found that precious puppy!! Is it a lab mix?? So so precious...
Jenni, I swear that Josie and I are going to kiss the screen. That baby deserves better, and now has it!
We think it may be a pit bull mix. There is Pit Bull ordinance in our town. If there wasn't, Puppy would have a little brother.
(Against Chris and Puppy's wishes.)
I looked up images of pit bull puppies and their noses looked a little more smushed in. And it doesn't quite look like a lab puppy either. So My guess is a good chocolate Heinz 57.
He is soooooooooo sweet.
Oh so cute! Thank goodness you found and saved him.
Oh my gosh! That's the sweetest face. I want to kiss his cute little nose. How lucky that you found each other!
I hope the new addition is doing well, what a lucky puppy
The new addition is doing fine.
The other farms dogs are having to adjust to the new baby. I don't think they like it too much!
Mom
I don't know how anyone could just dump an adorable puppy (or for that matter ANY critter) and just leave them. I am so glad he found you!
VERY cute! He looks like a lab/pit mix. He should grow up very cute!
Blessings on you and your big hearts!
