Thousands and Thousands

Are hatching daily...




















I can't keep up with the stomping.
I sprinkled out flour as suggested from last week.

I guess that's what I have to look forward to in my yard when we move back to GA.

I don't know how practical this is, but I was reading up on these guys and the Internet tells me you can kill the little ones by immersing them in soapy water. I know there are too many to grab by hand, but how about getting a big extension cord and bringing a shop-vac out to suck them up? Then you can just add the soapy water to the canister and kill off lots at a time.

The flour seems easier, though...

I grew up 2 miles from here. My parents lived in that house for over 20 years. They were never in that yard. Were they Mom? Just making sure.

I do not remember seeing so many of the babies last year. However we did not go in the yard much because it was such a wreck and we were working hard to make the house liveable. I did see plenty of the huge adults last summer.

Omg that gives me shivers. I'm not even afraid of bugs but those are especially creepy.
