I do not know the identity of these men, or if they made it home or not. I think the men background of the first picture knew my grandfather because of the way they are looking into the camera. The second picture I think are of some of my grandmother's brother's friends. Her brothers were sailors.

jenni those are wonderful pictures! i love seeing these types of photos...i always look at the ones that my grandma has from my grandpa. i wish i had some of my dad's to post. he fought in vietnam....i might have to dig to see....
Thank you for sharing your photos. They are a wonderful tribute to all service men and women.
Thankfully my dad survived being an MIA POW in the war he served in so I can honor him on Veterans Day.
On Memorial Day, and many other days throughout the year, I think of and appreciate all of the men he served with and all of the thousands of others through every other war who didn't get to come home and pick up where they left off when they sacrificed their lives to defend our nation.
