Monday Winner #1.
Being internet free, not by choice, since Monday, I am catching up on my daily reads.
Thanks Prudence!
That made my day.
Especially since the day started out bad, very bad........The cell phone that was in my pocket fell in the toilet. Oh !Yes it did! Thank goodness, it was a clean bowl. But still, EUGH!!!

Congrats on your well-deserved prize. But what about the phone? Did it survive? And if so, will you replace it anyway just out of sheer finickyness???
I kinda self taught myself about cell phones. I've repaired about 10 of them for friends. All water damaged. Here's the deal with cell phones and water. Absolutely do not turn it on. Water isn't the killer but water and voltage is. Take the battery out of the phone. If you can take the phone apart to expose the electronics do that. Let the phone sit for a week. There are all kinds of little spots where moisture can get trapped. You may notice red dot stickers on your battery and inside the phone. These are what tell the phone people you got your phone wet. They are normally white. Once moisture hit them they turn red. Good luck. If that doesn't help contact me and I'll tell you the next step. Ironically they say the vast majority of water damage to phones is toilets, dog water bowls, and lastly washing machines. Also washing machine water damage requires the second step due to soap film.
Thanks for the tips. I took it apart and dryed it with the hair dryer. I am glad I am not the only klutz that drops phones down the toilet.
It fell in slow motion. While I screemed.......NOOOOOOO!
